Your mission
We’re seeking an experienced Service Engineer (m/f/d) in Ulm, who will serve as the technical point of contact for supporting Field Service Engineers with complex troubleshooting, technical issue resolution, and product expertise. This role is based in our Ulm office and involves working closely with the R&D team to enhance product reliability, develop training programs, and refine service processes. Main responsibilities:
Technical Service & Support:- Troubleshoot technical problems in software, fluidics, mechanical and electrical components
- Provide expert-level technical support to Field Service Engineers, assisting with complex troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues.
- Perform in-house service on our polarizers
- Analyze technical errors and develop solutions to enhance product reliability.
- Analyze recurring technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to enhance service efficiency, product reliability, and long-term performance.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and manuals.
- Conduct training programs for new and existing Field Service Engineers, ensuring up-to-date product knowledge and technical proficiency.
- Provide training on new product features, software updates, and maintenance best practices.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to perform in-house equipment upgrades, configurations, and testing according to company standards.
- Provide feedback from service cases, supporting product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Test and evaluate new product features. and develop service protocols for upgrading deployed polarizers.
- Monitor and analyze recurring technical issues to recommend improvements in product design and service strategies.
- Support inventory management of spare parts, ensuring availability for efficient service operations.
